GENERAL

Q. When may I enroll?

A. Students may enroll at any time.

 

Q. Is there a registration fee?

A. No.

 

Q. Where are you located?

A. The Valley Glen studio is adjacent to Sherman Oaks. Cross streets are Burbank Boulevard and Woodman Avenue.

 

Q. What time are your classes offered?

A. School is in session Tuesday through Saturday, year round excluding major holidays.

Q. Where do I park?

A. Free parking is available on the north side of Burbank Boulevard, and on the two adjacent side streets, Buffalo Avenue and Ventura Canyon.

 

Q. How is tuition billed?

A. Tuition is billed either monthly or by semester with a 10% semester discount.
    Payment is due in full on the first class or first week of each month.

 

Q. What if I begin after the first of the month?

A. New students starting after the first week of the month are billed only for the hours booked that month.
    Regular billing begins the following month.

ART CLASSES

Q. What is the youngest age taught?

A. 6 – 7 years old for Art Classes.

 

Q. Do you offer a free trial art class?

A. One $20 trial Intro to Drawing art lesson includes individual instruction, a project kit which the student gets to keep and
    complementary use of the school’s art supplies.

 

Q. Are there art classes just for kids, teens or adults?

A. Children’s classes are ages 6 – 12.
    Teen classes are ages 13 – 18, however teens are welcome to attend adult classes.
    Adult classes are ages 18 and above. Senior citizens are welcome.

 

Q. What is the total number of students per art class?

A. A maximum of 9, a minimum of 2 and an average of 6.

 

Q. What supplies do I need?

A. Supplies are provided for the Intro to Drawing trial art lessons. A supply kit list is provided for each medium taught.
    Kits can be purchased either from the Pastimes for a Lifetime online art store or at the student store conveniently located on
    the premises. Students are welcome to bring the supplies they already have. They may purchase individual art supplies directly from
    the student store on the premises.

 

Q. Can I show up to any art class?

PIANO LESSONS

Q. Do you offer a free trial piano lesson?

A. A complementary consultation is provided as a courtesy. Contact Linda Wehrli at 818.766.0614 or linda@pastimesinc.com for
    an appointment.

 

Q. Do I need a piano in order to take lessons?

A. An acoustic piano is preferred. However, an electronic keyboard with 88 fully-weighted keys is acceptable.

 

Q. What is the youngest age you teach piano?

A. 7 – 8 years old for Piano Lessons. A free consultation is recommended for students younger than 7 years.

 

Q. Are piano lessons taught privately or in a group?

A. Privately. A 10% discount is available when two or more students book piano lessons back-to-back.
